Privacy Policy

Folio ("we", "us"), operated by Real Estate Grupo, helps you research Costa Rica properties using official public land data. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

• Account info — if you create an account: your email (and name if you provide it).
• Property searches — addresses, coordinates or finca numbers you look up, so we can return results and let you save them.
• Location — only if you enable it, to show your position on the map. We do not track your location in the background.
• Usage & device data — basic, privacy-respecting analytics (app version, crashes, feature use) to improve the app.
• Purchases — subscriptions are processed by Apple/Google; we receive confirmation of entitlement, not your card details. Verified reports are purchased on our website and processed by our payment provider.

How we use it

• To provide and improve the app and your saved properties.
• To prepare and deliver any verified report you request.
• To contact you about a report or request you initiated.

Map & government data

Folio displays public data from Costa Rica government sources (Registro Nacional / SIRI, SINAC, CNE, SENARA, SETENA, IGN). This data is provided for information only and is not legal advice. Always confirm material facts with qualified counsel before a transaction.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers that run the app (hosting, analytics, payment, email) under confidentiality obligations, or where required by law.

Your choices

• Use most of the app without an account.
• Turn location off at any time in your device settings.
• Request access to or deletion of your account data by emailing us.
